SOB Shades of Blue

project, program and interim management telecom and media

interim management

If you are in need of a temporary manager at senior level to fill in gaps or to start up a new branche Shades of Blue will help you out. It can be restructuring, building or merging. All this will be done with experience.

project and program management

Complex projects or programs will be handled with great care. Shades of Blue is specialized in projects which are not the easiest. If your project gets stuck or it is a very innovative, never done before, project, we have handled it before.

Or are the constraints close to impossible: we can do.

management consultancy

Management consultancy focusses on working from the sideline, which is hard for us to do being always highly involved in our activities.

We can do coaching to bring teams into a higher maturity level. We can do audits on infrastructure, software and architecture.

We can be your mirror just to do a second opinion. Or we can perform due dilligences.

Since 2005 the company is active as Shades of Blue (S-O-B) in a networked collaboration. One of the activities is done in co-operation with Altos Advisors, where the MD of Shades of Blue acts as country manager Benelux. The main activity of Altos Advisors is business development for companies that enter the European telecom market. At the section TEAM the other co-operations are mentioned. In this way of working we are able to cover all aspects of development with a single point of contact. In a project additional resources can be made available to pinpoint specific issues, all without hugh extensions of project teams. The approach is lean and keeps lean, following Ockham’s razor: “entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity" (entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem). Or to put it in normal language: less is more and keep it simple.

The main line of industry is MEDIA (print and broadcast) and TELECOM, with a focus on mass market. But we are flexible to adapt to any situation, currently a side step to the ENERGY industry is made. There are quite some similarities with the telecom industry, both in product differentiation and level of maturity (both are recent sectors in open competition).
